Alleged Cape Town gang boss Jerome “Donkie” Booysen was “doing well” on Tuesday after he was reportedly shot in the neck in Ravensmead on Monday night.

A source close to Booysen‚ the leader of the Sexy Boys‚ said he was doing well in hospital and that he would “totally recover”.

“He is grateful to be alive because he was shot two times. He's talking and his family are all extremely relieved‚” said the source.

Police have opened an attempted murder case and said a 52-year-old man was fatally wounded and three others injured in a related incident in 47th Street‚ Connaught Estate‚ Ravensmead.
