A man was stabbed several times on Wednesday morning after he was attacked on a highway in Durban when his car broke down.

The vehicle broke down on the N2 north bound after the M7 interchange.

Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care said paramedics found the man had sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper body on the roadside.

It is believed that the man's motor vehicle broke down and he was awaiting for assistance when he was attacked by two men‚" said Jamieson.
