Four people have been killed and one person critically wounded in what is believed to be a drug-related shooting incident in Isipingo near Durban‚ paramedics said.
Four other people sustained serious to moderate injuries in the shooting incident‚ which occurred in Nogin Road in Isipingo at about 4.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
“ER24 transported three of the four patients to the Prince Mshiyeni memorial hospital for further medical care.
“The patient who is in a critical condition and one other patient was transported to hospital by other emergency services on scene‚” said ER24 spokesperson Annine Siddall.
“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations‚” she added.
The four men who were killed are believed to be have been between 25 and 35 years old.
