'Several dead' in foiled Chad coup plot: police

Several people were killed and around a dozen were injured in a gunfight linked to a foiled plot to destabilise Chad, a police source said Thursday.

A shootout left "several dead and around 15 injured" Wednesday when security forces came to arrest the alleged conspirators on the outskirts of the capital, the source added on condition of anonymity.
