A stolen Bible proved to be the undoing for a murderer and his accomplices in Uganda.

According to Uganda's New Vision newspaper, Eid Batambuze aka “Kasambula” and his accomplices had been terrorising the people around them, breaking into homes and robbing them.

On the day they stole the Bible from one Pastor James Mwesigwa of Christ the Rock Worship Centre, they had murdered his housekeeper Prossy Namugga.

It wasn't until the thieves robbed Farouk Mujuzi, the proprietor of Hanz Connect located at Ddembe Shopping Centre and Apple Tower however that the cops got a lead on the thieves.

They tracked the crooks to a one bedroom house in Kabowa, Ssembuule Zone. When they searched it one thing stood out - the pastor's Bible.

Batambuze then led the police to two of his accomplices, though two more are still on the run.
