Nasa has released a collage of over 1600 people waving at Cassini, as the spacecraft reveals a stunning new view of Saturn.

You can see the full collage on Nasa - warning it is huge and will take a long time to load.

The event that created those photos was held in July 19, when Cassini was scheduled to try and get a picture of Earth through the rings of Saturn.

The result was a spectacular new view of Saturn, using 141 wide-angle images to create the panorama as human eyes would see it.

"In this one magnificent view, Cassini has delivered to us a universe of marvels," Carolyn Porco, Cassini's imaging team lead at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colorado told Nasa.

"And it did so on a day people all over the world, in unison, smiled in celebration at the sheer joy of being alive on a pale blue dot."
