The search for the elusive tiger Panjo continued this morning with a large convoy driving towards the site of yet another claimed sighting -- this time near Bronkhorstspruit in Mpumalanga.

Justin Fernandes, son of the tiger's owner Goosey, said around 11am they were on the way to a farm where the tiger had apparently been seen sitting for about half an hour.

They hoped to find tracks there that they could follow.

Since pleading on radio for people to keep a lookout for Panjo, who apparently jumped out of the back of his bakkie near Delmas in Mpumalanga, Goosey had received various reports from people who claim to have seen the big cat.

These included claims that he had been seen next to the Delmas Wimpy.

At every sighting, they dashed off with a large convoy but so far Panjo, who was hand-reared, had not been found.
