No fire at China Mall

Times LIVE incorrectly reported that China Mall in Crown Mines, Johannesburg suffered a massive blaze on Saturday. In fact China Shopping Centre burnt down. The centre can be seen from the M1 freeway.

China Mall is also in Crown Mines but is further away from the M1.

A second fire was reported in Crown Mines on Sunday. A chicken wholesaler, a sweet warehouse and a furniture and decor factory were engulfed in flames. They were not part of the China Shopping Centre fire.
