Shrien Dewani can be extradited to South Africa to stand trial for the murder of his wife while on honeymoon, London Judge Howard Riddle said today, according to Sky News.

The family of Anni Dewani has continually begged a British court to "get us closure" on her death.

Anni, 28, was shot dead in a staged car hijacking in Gugulethu last November which her husband, Shrien, 31, is alleged to have orchestrated. He denies this.

On the final day of Shrien's extradition hearing at Belmarsh Magistrate's Court in London yesterday, District Judge Howard Riddle retired to deliberate about whether Dewini should be sent back to South Africa to face trial for his bride's killing. Her family has called for an end to the court process.

Speaking outside court, Anni's father, Vinod Hindocha, 62, told the UK's Daily Mirror newspaper: "We're really asking the court here, 'Finish this, get us a closure so we can move along with our lives.'

"I have full faith in the British justice system and I believe we will get the answers we need. We need the answers. We're begging for that. Please give us closure for this."

Anni's uncle, Ashok Hindocha, 51, said he was grateful for the support the grieving family have received in the UK and in South Africa.

Eleven of Anni's relatives flew to the UK from Sweden for the hearing this week, and another nine who live in Britain joined them in court.
