The murder and attempted murder trial against former Big Brother celebrity Brad Wood, and four others, will continue in the Delmas Circuit High Court on Tuesday.

The Star Newspaper reportes Wood and his co-accused, Herbie Trouw, Willem Coetzer, Nicolas Pretorius and Micky Mazenen, were charged with murder following the killing of four alleged illegal miners at the embattled Aurora Empowerment Systems Grootvlei mine, near Springs, last year.

Several other alleged illegal miners were wounded. Wood was the company's security head at the time.

The group arrived and left the court side by side at their appearance on Monday. Wood was dressed in his security company's uniform and appeared to be in high spirits, according to the report.

The State alleged, that the five went in "guns blazing", and shot the miners without any warning. One of the attorneys Martin Botha, out of the three who assembled on Monday, asked for a day's postponement to allow for preparation.

Botha who was recently assigned to the case, told the court that he had not yet received the docket, it was reported.

The mine is owned by President Jacob Zuma's nephew Khulubuse Zuma and former president Nelson Mandela's grandson Zondwa Mandela.
