Nathi's VIP cop gets bail

A police sergeant accused of stealing from Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa has appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court, Cape Town.

National Prosecuting Authority Western Cape spokesman Eric Ntabazaila, said Iamval Isaacs was granted R1000 bail.

"Three men appeared at the court this morning," he said.

Isaacs was arrested on Monday, along with two men who al legedly bought a laptop computer and a cellphone from him. There was no forced entry at Mthethwa's house, but a laptop and cellphone disappeared on Saturday.

Mohamed Islam and Amdat Hussain were granted bail of R400 each.
