A body found on the East Rand on Wednesday morning was that of Mark Andrews, a business partner of murdered Teazers strip club boss Lolly Jackson, police said.

"The body had a bullet in the head and his hands were tied at the back," Gauteng police spokesman Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said.

"At this stage it is not clear whether he was killed there or the body was dumped next to the road."

The body was found around 3am next to the R59 in Brackendowns, Alberton.

Andrews was reportedly suspected of involvement in the kidnapping and possible murder of Jackson's lawyer Ian Jordaan, who disappeared last Tuesday.

A charred body believed to be that of Jordaan was found on top of his burning bakkie on the West Rand last week. The teeth had been removed.

"At this stage, the killing of Mark Andrews may not be linked to any cases of murder under investigation, but a possibility may exist as the investigation progresses," Dlamini said in a statement.

Andrews was in a business dispute with Jackson over the ownership and running of a branch of Teazers in Cresta, Johannesburg.

Police urged those with information relating to Andrews' murder to come forward.

Jackson was shot dead last year.
