A man died after he drank a brew prepared by a traditional healer in Nancefield, Limpopo police say.

Lieutenant Peter Mudau said the traditional healer had cut up aloe leaves and boiled them in water.

He said the man, who was there with his friend, watched the healer drink a cup of the concoction, before they did the same.

The three men were taken to hospital when they complained of stomach cramps and feeling dizzy and weak.

Mudau said the man died on his way to the Musina Hospital.

The traditional healer and the other man received medical treatment at the hospital.

The deceased and his friend had consulted the healer to get something that would cleanse their kidneys and enhance their sexual performance, Mudau said.

No arrests were made.
