Suspended ANC Youth League president Julius Malema is reportedly on the list of the Provincial Executive Committee candidates delegates will be voting for this afternoon. His friend and mentor Cassel Mathale retained his ANC chairmanship by a margin of 82 votes.
The top five ANC executive members in Limpopo following the counting of votes early Sunday morning:
- ANC chairman Cassel Mathale won by a margin of 82 votes. He received 601 while his contender Joe Phaahla got 519 votes.
- Deputy chairman is Dickson Masemola with 603 votes against Joe Mathebula's 514. There were three spoilt votes and six abstentions.
- the Secretary position went to Soviet Lekganyane with 601 votes against Joe Maswaynganyi, who got 517 votes.
- the Treasurer position went to Pinky Kekana with 606 votes to Rosina Semenya's 509 votes. There was one spoilt votes and 10 abstentions.
- the Deputy Treasurer position went to Florence Dzhombere, who got 602 votes to Joyce Matsoge's 511 voteS.
Delegates will vote for the Provincial Executive Committee members on Sunday.
