Sergeant Majang Skalkie said Mojaki Jonas Dlamini, 36, was found
guilty on three counts of rape and sentenced on Thursday to two life sentences,
plus another 10 years imprisonment.
Dlamini throttled his victims and dragged them to a field where
he raped them. In the first attack in October 2008, he raped a 37-year-old
woman in field near Morelig in Bethlehem.
Almost a year later, two girls met Dlamini and, fearing for
their lives, tried to run away form him. Dlamini chased them and managed to
catch a 15-year-old girl. He raped her. The court sentenced him to life
imprisonment for this.
He was found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl, who was sent
to a shop by her mother, in September last year. While awaiting trial, Dlamini
escaped from custody in November 2011, but was re-arrested a few days later. He
was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for this escape.
