The trial of Facebook rapist Thabo Bester has been postponed in the Western Cape High Court.

SABC radio news reports the trial will resume on April 26.

Bester is accused of killing 26-year-old model Nomfundu Tyulu in Milnerton in September. She was found stabbed in the chest, in a room in a bed-and-breakfast.

Bester was dubbed the "Facebook rapist" because he used the social networking site to lure women to meet him throughout the country, by claiming international modelling scouts were interested in them.

He then raped and robbed them at knife-point.

He was sentenced to 50 years' imprisonment by a Durban court in October for raping and robbing two aspirant models.
