Moroka Swallows are pleased with the recovery of their chief striker Siyabonga Nomvethe from an ankle injury.
Swallows doctor Ephraim Nematswerani said the Bafana Bafana player is expected to start training with the team on Monday.
Nomvethe injured ankle ligaments when Swallows hammered Orlando Pirates 3-0 at Orlando stadium on September 1.
He had to withdraw from the Bafana squad that lost 1-0 to Brazil and beat Mozambique 3-0.
"Bhele has been responding [well] to treatment. We had decided to rest him for two weeks to allow the injury to heal without any pressure," said Nematswerani.
"He is doing very well. We [the medical team] will assess him on Friday [tomorrow], where we expect to give him the green light to start training.
"Besides Bhele, all the other players are in good health," said the former Bafana and Olympic team doctor.
Swallows have missed Nomvethe. The veteran player, who won numerous awards last season, played a significant role when Swallows clinched the MTN8 last month.
Winger Joseph Makhanya is back in action after being grounded by a knee injury for almost a month.
He was on the bench when Swallows ended Free State Stars' unbeaten run in the league in Bethlehem last Sunday, winning 1-0.
