Cape Town mother arrested for sexually exploiting daughter

A woman has been arrested for allegedly charging men R50 to have sex with her young daughter, it was reported on Monday.

According to the Daily Voice, the mother was taken into custody on Friday and would appear in the Atlantis Magistrate's Court later on Monday.

A case of sexual exploitation was opened this month after the 13-year-old girl told her friend about the alleged abuse. The friend told a teacher about the crimes, who reported it to the police.

The teenager said she was paraded to men outside shebeens as a sex slave. The mother apparently used the money to buy alcohol.
