A sheriff of the court has been blocked from entering the Gauteng health department to attach desks and computers, it was reported.

The Star reported that the sheriff, Lutendo Mukwevho, was blocked by two department officials.

He was trying to get into health MEC Hope Papo’s office to attach 400 computers and hundreds of desks because the department apparently owes a medical supply company R280 000.

The newspaper reported that the department ignored a warrant of execution of moveable property issued in May.

The officials accused Mukwevho of being disrespectful.

“I’m not fighting and I don’t care if it is the MEC or not. I’m just doing my job,” Mukwevho was quoted as saying.
