PULLING THE WOOL
Chloé Townsend of Missibaba and Anna Verloren van Themaat of Mevrou are friends who love handmade things.
Masters of their disciplines - leather goods and merino wool objects respectively - the two joined forces last year to produce a range of handbags, scarves and cushions.
The graphic designs include Aztec symbols, arrows and checked patterns, all perfect for the monochrome trend that is big this winter.
The cushions are R3910 each. Order from anna. verloren @gmail.com
GEOMETRIC GEMS
Go geometric this winter with gems from voylla.com, an online jewellery site. A boldly bright cuff can take the edge off winter greys, or try this bright pink and green necklace for R599 to ease away the winter blues.

FOCUS ON COLOUR
Cape Town artist Hugh Byrne is getting a lot of attention lately with his playful artworks.
After gathering images he breaks them down into simplified geometric forms in bright, shiny colours. He uses layers of paints, resins and various coatings to achieve the desired effect.
