It is time we saw an end to all strikes. Our labour minister, union leaders and labour specialists should visit the other Brics countries to establish what their workforces, executives and politicians are paid. Take an average of what these countries pay and use it as our benchmark.

This will indicate whether we pay our people too much, or too little. The survey should also include working hours, skills, productivity and working conditions.
