HAIR

If you aren't blonde you can fake Melinda Bam's golden hair. Wella has launched Illumina, an in-salon hair colour that offers sheer all-over colour, reducing any impurities (like tiny metal particles) in your hair to ensure it reflects more light. If your natural colour is three shades darker than hers, skip the do-it-yourself method and get a qualified colourist to lighten your locks.

To keep coloured hair looking good, invest in a treatment. Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Conditioner, R56, is an easy way to keep your tresses tamed. It has masque-like properties that work quickly.

MAKE-UP

SKIN

For Melinda's subtle all-over glow, self-tan is the way to go. Melinda, an ambassador for St Tropez self-tan, says: "Looking like you've just stepped off the beach makes you feel like you have, and I know that's when I look and feel my best. With the St Tropez tanning range I can look healthy and glowing all year round and I don't have to flinch about sun damage. My skin is healthy and soft and has the perfect sun-kissed glow, making it so much easier to look great at a glamorous event." She uses St. Tropez's Self Tan Bronzing Mousse, R555, to keep her skin looking bronzed and silky in the winter cold. Copy the soft glow of her face by forgoing heavy foundation and trying a lightweight tinted cream such as Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture, R495. It also has an SPF of 15.

EYES

To recreate Melinda's smoky bronze eyes, use a dark brown metallic eye pencil such as Inglot Full Metal Eyeliner in 530, R159, to line your top lash lines. It comes with a soft tip to smudge the lines. Use shimmery pale gold eye shadow on the lids. Use a dark bronze eye shadow in the crease of the eyes, extending it out into the corners to create a cat-eye effect. Try Body Shop's Baked-to-Last Eye Colour in Copper, R120. To finish, slick on lavish coats of mascara.

CHEEKS

Melinda gives her cheeks a rosy hue by using a bloom-coloured blush like Clinique Blushing Blush in Cupid, R280.

LIPS

Lips look ready for pouting with a light, shimmering colour. Go for neutrals rather than brights for a soft, sexy appeal.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer, R180.
