Hollywood couple Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones want to patch up their 13-year marriage.

London's Daily Mail reported that the pair are living together again after their temporary separation in August.

The newspaper reported that Douglas, 69, has moved back into the multimillion-dollar home the couple share in Bedford, New York. Sources said the Oscar-winning actor begged his wife to let him come back.

And perhaps it has worked. Zeta-Jones was in good form when she attended the Dance Alliance Foundation Gala in the Big Apple on Sunday, wearing a stunning embellished Dennis Basso - and her wedding ring.

The couple celebrated their joint birthday, September 25, at a local steakhouse .

In August, the pair announced in a statement that they were "taking some time apart to evaluate and work" on their marriage.

Prior to that, according to the Daily Mail, they hadn't been seen together in public since April 22, after which Douglas embarked on a relentless promo campaign for his Liberace biopic with Matt Damon, Behind the Candelabra .

The pair, parents of Dylan and Carys, married in a lavish ceremony in New Yorkin 2000, a year after they met.
