App of the week

Ever ask your geometry teacher: ''How will I use this in real life?" My Geometric Universe from Chocolapps allows children to use a pencil, ruler, compass and set square to draw different geometric shapes that can then be cut out and used to build real objects. Once these objects have been created, they can be placed in any of the three magical universes: The Kid's Room, Ancient Egypt or the Middle Ages. The new app makes learning geometry fun.

Gadget of the week

Looks like the selfie craze isn't going away. In fact, more and more people are sharing their arms-length photos. A new gadget called Shutterball ups the game. This spherical device has a remote shutter control designed specifically for smartphone cameras. It allows you to take full-length shots, group shots and even videos so that you can film yourself doing that amazing skate board trick.

Dance is medicinal for obstetrician/ gynaecologist Dr Deborah Cohan. The mother of two preps for her double mastectomy on camera, holding a dance party in the operating room.

Wearing a hospital gown and a smile, Cohan gets her groove on to Beyoncé's Get Me Bodied, dancing with her medical team just moments before her surgery. Google ''Deb's or Flash Mob."
