One of the teenagers accused of killing Cape Town clown and stilt walker Rosemary Theron, 39, has sought the help of lawyer William da Grass, who represented shuttle operator Zola Tongo in the Anni Dewani honeymoon murder case.

Tongo, who took Shrien Dewani and his wife on a tour of Cape Town, confessed to being offered R15000 by Dewani to find hitmen to kill Anni in November 2010. Da Grass arranged a plea and sentencing deal for his client.

Now he has taken up 18-year-old Kyle Maspero's case.

Maspero and Theron's daughter, Phoenix Racing Cloud, 19, are lovers.

According to the state, they conspired to kill Theron while they were under the influence of drugs.

It is alleged that Phoenix hugged Theron after an argument and Maspero crept up from behind and strangled the mother with a rope.

Godfrey Scheepers, 20, told the police that Maspero asked him to help bury the body. He is out on bail.

Maspero and Phoenix giggled during their appearance in the Simon's Town Magistrate's Court.

The case was remanded to January 23 for further investigation and pending the release of the results of Theron's postmortem.
