Clinton Larsen hopes that an easing of his horrific injury situation at Maritzburg United could help him to a first home win since rejoining the club last month when his side host Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership tonight.
When Larsen took over, he had 10 of his 28-man squad on the treatment table, but has now got that number down to just three.
Larsen has a single win and a draw to show from his first five matches in charge, including a 2-1 loss at strugglers Lamontville Golden Arrows on Sunday.
"We are almost back to full strength now and I am starting to see the difference in the quality of our play," Larsen said.
"Even in the loss to Arrows, at times we passed the ball really well and our build-ups were more intelligent. I think it is only a matter of time before things turn around for us."
Those remaining on the sidelines are former Pirates defender Robyn Johannes, midfielder Nhlanhla Vilakazi and Ashley Hartog.
"We want to play a certain brand of football, one that our fans will find entertaining, and you can only do that if you have the majority of your players available, especially the more experienced ones.
"The Pirates game is a great chance for us to turn things around if we can get a positive result. We are playing probably the best team in the country and it will be a big test of our skills."
Maritzburg have a good record against Pirates, having won two of their last four matches against them.
