A Soweto radio DJ and presenter, on the run for allegedly murdering his girlfriend, Rachel Tshabalala, in her flat last week, was arrested yesterday morning.

The Jozi FM DJ will appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court today. He was arrested as he and a friend left their Soweto hideout.

Soweto police spokesman Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela confirmed a R50000 bounty on his head. "Police received a tip-off that he was hiding in a house in Dube. They had it under observation until today [yesterday] [and pounced as] the suspect left the house with a friend," he said.
