A man out on bail has allegedly gone on a shooting spree in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, killing a motorist and injuring others, according to media report.

Quoting eye witnesses, the New Age said the man went to a tavern on Sunday, got into a fight with patrons and was forced to leave.

He was then involved in a car accident but did not stop to exchange details.

The driver of the car he crashed into followed him home where an argument ensued, during which the driver was shot dead and others were injured.

Gauteng correctional services spokesman Ofentse Morwane confirmed to The New Age that Moodley was out on R1500 bail after being arrested for theft.

He is still at large.

Police spokeswoman Colonel Noxolo Kweza declined to provide details of the incident to Sapa, saying she could only confirm that a murder case was opened.
