Jay Z, Bey split a 'Jedi mind trick'

The divorce rumours that have been dogging Beyoncé and Jay Z were a ''Jedi mind trick'' intended to bump up sales of tickets for their ''On the Run'' world tour, King Bey's father, Matthew Knowles, has claimed.

According to Bang Showbiz, Knowles told the Roula & Ryan Showin Houston: '' There's a tour going on. Sometimes you have to ignite that tour. It's called a Jedi mind trick. It fools you a lot.''

Knowles, 63, who used to manage Beyoncé and her girl group Destiny's Child, suggested that the much-publicised assault on Jay Z by Solange, Beyoncé's sister, was also a stunt.
