Hundreds took to Facebook to voice their displeasure over Safa considering hosting the Afcon tournament next year.

Since Safa announced that it was yet to take a decision over hosting the Afcon tournament yesterday, Facebook users have expressed their opinions on the possibility of South Africa taking up the event.

The majority felt that the prestigious soccer cup  could compromise the safety and health of local citizens. Fears were raised over the risk of Ebola escalating, with many stating the cup would possibly increase the number of Ebola infected-visitors to the country.

Terris Simphiwe Klaas said: "It's really a shame, a country that is only focusing on business, never mind its own people. Morocco doesn't want it, fearing the spread of Ebola, but our country doesn't care of this killing disease."

His sentiments were shared by Njr Junior who added:"I hope SAFA also rejects this request, CAF Leaders are being unreasonable in not postponing the tournament, What would be so wrong in postponing the tournament until further notice? they must not be selfish and think only about football and profits. The authorities in Morocco are only looking out for their people, Any government would want to protect their people first, even if football must be suspended."

David Moeketsi was vocal about the problems facing the country saying: "We have problems of water, electricity, education and booming population. The World Cup 2010 and Afcon 2013 has bankrupt SA."

Namudi Makola: moroccos reasons for no longer wanting to host the tournament are genuine. if Caf was saying morrocco is not ready then it would be something else. if Morrocco is worried about possible ebola outbreak Danny and co are not worried about it? hai this time we do not want it. take it somewhere else. y not postpone the tournament until the ebola issue is under control...

Fhatuwani Deadwater Mufamadi: We will burn the stadium if they agree shem

Thabang Paledi: Tag #NOAFCONSA we can't compromise our lives, if they do I'm taking them to court. Let's unite in this one

Sizwe Dlamini: CAF must ban the Ebola nations and their people from the Morocco tournament. Their love for football can wait. Priority for them is to pull all their resources toward eradicating the scourge. SAFA have to deal with Nonkonyane's imminent appeal.

Livhuwani Ramovha: No take it to Nigeria! We have hosted enough soccer tournaments in the past 6 years. What we need is Olympics, which of course we can't afford at all.

Zukisani Jack-Sparrow M: have few conditions. 1.tickets should be available to South African citizens/permanent residents. who haven't been out of this country fr the past 6 months only 2. stadiums should be half- full, an open seat must be left between fans. 3. only journos frm outside our borders will be allowed in the country not fans. and these journos shud arrive a week before tournament commencement. so that they can go through three days of Ebola screening. if they think my requests are ridiculous let them voetsek with that tournament to Egypt or hell
