The house in which Oscar Pistorius was living, as shown in the media, has no handrail in the toilet, is a double-storey, so it has a staircase, and has no signs of facilitating a person with a disability.

So why the fuss about such facilities in prison?

According to the correctional services commissioner, there are special facilities for the disabled in prison, which means Pistorius would have better facilities in prison than he did at home.
