Jonathan Jansen's column ("Magic of metamorphosis") made me think of the situation in Africa.

White people are frequently portrayed as racists, but there are many black people who are racists too.

In South Africa, many blacks will not vote for a party that is predominantly white, regardless of how much good the party could do the country.

Many Zambians are objecting to an interim white president.

The US, which is mostly white, has a black president without major objections.

The US has done a lot to help combat diseases like HIV/Aids and Ebola in Africa, and when there are problems it is among the first to assist. The only thanks the Americans get from many black Africans is negative criticism.
