The couch Princess Diana lay on for her 1997 Vanity Fair cover shoot is to go up for auction today, at Christie's in London.

According to vanityfair.com, the white cotton bouclé sofa, which was designed by the David Collins Studio, will be part of an entire collection of work by the late interior designer.

The sofa was reportedly sold off to a friend of the studio after the shoot, but Collins bought it back some years later.

Last year, 10 dresses worn by the late Diana were auctioned at Kerry Taylor Auctions -including one she wore to dance with actor John Travolta in 1985.
