It is said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but what if it is your gorgeous custom-made David Tlale wedding dress on another woman, less than three months after your big day?

Nomachule Gigaba, the wife of Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba, said she was bummed out to see the wife of taxi boss Bafana Sindane in "her" dress (which cost Sindane R30000) at the weekend.

When she posted her wedding pictures to her @MrsGigabyte Instagram profile a while back, Gigaba wrote glowingly about Tlale, saying: "No words can express how greatful [sic] I am for what u did, thank u my royal for doing a wonderful job@davidtlale."

Then Ouma Sindane also approached the popular designer to make her dress and when Gigaba saw a picture of Sindane in a ruffled white dress, she was convinced it was the same as the one she wore for her nuptials in Durban on August 30.

She told The Times yesterday: "I feel he [Tlale] betrayed me. I'm so upset, because we're very close."

Ironically, Tlale told nubianbride.co.za in April last year that his sales pitch was: "Let me make you a dress that makes the next bride want to look like you."
