University of Pretoria have to recover quickly from the shock of losing long-serving coach Steve Barker to AmaZulu, with Orlando Pirates next on their schedule.

Fortunately, Tuks have a man who knows the club and management believe Sammy Troughton will have the team ready for tonight's clash with the Buccaneers at Tuks Stadium.

Troughton said he would not make too many changes.

"[Assistant coach] Sly [Mosala] and I have been here for a while now and we know the players. It's easier when you have been involved with the club," he said.

"The fact of the matter is that Barker is gone and now we have to apply ourselves. We are not going to make too many changes. Pirates are a quality side and their confidence is very high," the new coach said.

Tuks were finding their feet under Barker recently after a poor start to the season, with victories over Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows in their last two matches.

Troughton has urged the players to continue with the same spirit as they look to move further away from the relegation zone. Tuks are in 12th place with 12 points.
