An employer in south Florida, in the US, has been arrested for hitting his workers with a bearded dragon lizard.

Benjamin Herman Siegel, the owner of a reptile shop, was caught on camera putting the bearded dragon in his mouth, throwing the animal in the air and swinging it around his head several times, according to USA Today newspaper.

He apparently hit his employees repeatedly with the lizard, and threw Gatorade sports drink at them.

He is in jail following his arrest on charges of battery and animal cruelty.
