Police were on Tuesday still searching for a six-year-old boy who went missing in Katlehong in the East Rand last week.

"At this stage, there are no developments and the police investigations continue," said Captain Augustinah Selepe.

Kagiso Mokwena went missing on January 9 at around midday.

It was alleged that an unknown woman called him by name at the park where he was playing with friends.

She offered to buy the children lollipops.

The woman gave the children money and then led Mokwena down the road.

"The victim was wearing checked brown trousers, a green golf shirt and purple sneakers with yellow laces when he went missing," Selepe said.

Police appealed to the public to contact their nearest police station if they had information about the little boy's whereabouts.
