Signal jamming, armed guards, EFF chaos. Such a gross violation of respect for our constitution, the House and all MPs.

The events at last week's State of the Nation address have irreparably damaged the reputation and dignity of parliament.

It was a vote of no-confidence at the highest level . Julius Malema and his crew dressed up as domestic workers and labourers? In this day and age? One can only attribute this to his lack of education and a desperate attempt to win voters.

Essentially, it dehumanises and humiliates this type of employment, making domestic workers the butt of jokes and the laughing stock of the nation - all in a ruse for support.

Yes there are questions President Jacob Zuma needs to answer. He should answer the questions of his people at least four times a year. He only did it once last year and unsatisfactorily.

The DA walkout can be seen either as an action of no-confidence or a stamping of feet in an emotional pre-arranged action. - Sandra Zach, Sunninghill

THERE must have been at least four SABC TV cameras in parliament to cover Zuma's speech. But when the proverbial hit the fan, one remained firmly focused on the Speaker and the chairperson of the national council of provinces while the EFF eviction was audible in the background. The SABC showed its true colours. - Riotous Assembly, Pretoria
