Eskom confirms medium to high risk of blackouts to be expected

There is a medium to high risk of blackouts on Friday, Eskom said.

"There is a medium to high risk of load shedding today," its media desk said.

"Any unexpected changes on the already constrained power system may necessitate the need to load shed."

Earlier Eskom said that although the system was constrained, no blackouts were expected.
