Eskom implements controlled stage 2 outages

Power utility Eskom said it would implement controlled outages from 08:00 GMT to 20:00 GMT because it did not have the capacity to meet demand.

Cash-strapped Eskom said on its Twitter feed the outages would be rolled out in what it calls "Stage Two", which means it needs to reduce 2,000 MW of demand from the grid.
