Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille has a drug problem - again. Yesterday she launched the latest phase of her "I have a drug problem" awareness campaign, pointing out that drugs affect everyone, whether they use them or not.

Celebrities involved include singer Jimmy Nevis, who grew up on the Cape Flats, and comedian Siv Ngesi.

The new campaign posters will also feature ordinary people, including a Kuils River pastor, a Gugulethu teacher and a Constantia doctor.

De Lille begged Capetonians to report suspected drug dealers, and her mayoral committee colleague JP Smith said 20% of tip-offs from the community turned out to be authentic.

In 2012, De Lille recorded a rap song about drugs. She said there was a nine-fold increase in the number of people asking for help after her first "I have a drug problem" campaign.
