I always read Jonathan Jansen's column, and I admire him.

I agree that we need to really understand the frustrations of our children. Young adults at universities are privileged. Unfortunately, with bad behaviour, we have only a short clip that will be televised over and over to show how barbaric our children are.

We need our dignity back. One thoughtless person incites a mindless protest and the rest follow without understanding what they're protesting about. We need our children to educate themselves, not only at universities, but in their daily lives with daily issues.

If we keep behaving like hooligans in our streets, and in parliament, how will the world at large take us seriously?

Our leaders need to be strong, informed and humane. We are looking for them among our children. We need children from all walks of life to be able to live their dreams and connect with like-minded people so we can clean out the rot .

Right now we are on a downward spiral. We are grasping at straws.

However, all is not lost. We are now liberated. Let's not make mistake upon mistake.

Let's stand up to the wrongs that are happening from the top. Let's stand together against corruption, poverty and injustice.
