Trio bust with illegal gun and balaclavas at Midrand shopping centre

Police are investigating whether three suspects arrested in Midrand on Thursday may be linked to serious and violent crimes in Gauteng. This comes after police officers on a routine patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking area of the Boulders Shopping Mall at about midday."On searching the vehicle‚ a pistol without a serial number was seized‚" police said in a statement."Several items used to commit crimes including balaclavas and gloves were found inside the vehicle‚ a VW Polo.The three suspects will be charged with possession of an illegal firearm.Their vehicle was impounded...
