GoT's hidden climate change message

There is more to Game of Thrones than dragons, zombie armies, gore and sex. The series is apparently a warning about the world's failure to stop climate change. In an article in Vox, two writers examine the similarities between the TV show and global warming, saying Game of Thrones even has the tag line: "Winter is coming".The show's stand-ins for climate change, they point out, are the White Walkers, who live north of the wall and command a zombie army. And just like in the real world, where some nations deny the existence of climate change, the noble houses in the show spend their time squabbling among themselves rather than uniting against the common threat."All of these noble houses are focused on their short-term interests, but pursuing them is blocking the real problem: stopping White Walkers and their zombie army. Likewise, carbon dioxide emissions skyrocketed in the past 100 years - with potentially catastrophic consequences for the human race," the article reads. The suggestion is that the Night's Watch even represent modern scientists who are trying to warn the world about climate change. ..
