As he does not have children South Africa's much-maligned new visa regulations should not affect him. And, should Russell Brand have learned his lesson from 2013, and made sure his passport is in order, the comedian, actor and author will be here for three shows in October. Two shows of his Trew World Order will take place in Johannesburg on October 1 and 2 at Montecasino, followed by a Grand Arena appearance on Cape Town the next night.Tony Feldman of Showtime Management said: "We are pleased to announce that Russell Brand will be in South Africa this October for what is going to be an exciting and interesting tour."Brand explained the tour thus: "Yes, That's right. We are all individuals. We've been told freedom is the freedom to fulfil our petty desires but TREW freedom is freedom FROM our petty desires."Russell Brand, according to a Showtime statement, "has decided the only way to change the world is to be a part of the crowd. Collectively, as a crowd, a horde, a mob, we can change the world."The Daily Telegraph in the UK reported in 2013 that South African fans were "not laughing as the controversial comedian had to cancel his gig in Johannesburg".Brand had been scheduled for a performance as part of his Messiah Complex tour, but was denied permission to board a flight because he did not have two free pages in his passport - the minimum needed to enter South Africa. He tweeted at the time: "Tonight's J-burg show cancelled. SA authorities REFUSE TO LET ME INTO YOUR COUNTRY. Trying to resolve it. #Messiah Complex." ..
