Two people were killed and 27 others injured when a bakkie overturned on the N2 near Mtinzini in Kwazulu-Natal on Sunday‚ emergency services said.
Fifteen of the injured were in a serious condition and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment‚ they said. Others were treated on the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
In another accident in the province on Saturday night‚ one person was killed and several injured in the Pisgah area near Harding in southern KZN‚ emergency medical services said.
They said the accident had apparently been caused by a car colliding with a horse and overturning.
Nine patients were treated on the scene by paramedics before being ferried to the St Andrews Hospital.
