Cyril promoted to mampara league

18 June 2015 - 02:01 By Robert Marivate, Soshanguve

When did Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa conduct a survey enabling him to conclude that Gauteng motorists are happy with the new e-toll tariffs? Is he saying Gauteng voters will now not punish the ANC in next year's local government elections as they did in 2014 by voting EFF and DA?Next the deputy president will say we are happy that ministers Nathi Nhleko, Jeff Radebe, Malusi Gigaba and Thulas Nxesi defended President Jacob Zuma extremely well.He will also say South African taxpayers and the poor are enjoying paying tax to be used at the president's fort-cum-palace.We need two referendums, one on e-tolls and the other on whether the president pays back money or not for Nkandla. It is only then that Ramaphosa will be able to say with confidence that we support e-toll tariffs and the diversion to Nkandla of taxpayers' money.South Africa is facing a severe drought that will affect food production and empty our dams. Will Ramaphosa say this drought is affecting the whole world, therefore government must not give relief funding to farmers?I would not be surprised if Ramaphosa says "we will not charge Glen Agliotti and we will release Sheryl Cwele because drug trafficking happens in all countries".My deputy president, please do not join the league of great South African mamparas, which includes your president, Nhleko, Nxesi, Riah Phiyega, Dina Pule, Ellen Tshabalala, Pallo Jordan and Hlaudi Motsoeneng.Instead, join Kgalema Motlanthe, Sandi Sejake, Ronnie Kasrils, Zwelinzima Vavi, Irvin Jim and Ben Turok in condemning the Nkandlagate scandal. ..
