Prof Jonathan Jansen's column yesterday, "How crime murders our hope", was sad and profound. The death of Dr Lehlohonolo Mathengtheng, a brilliant young scientist, is tragic. As a parent myself, I hope God will provide his mother with the strength she needs at this difficult time.Although I can offer little in the way of consolation, her son was a credit to this nation, his community and his university.May his soul rest in eternal peace and may his mother take pride in the son she produced. ..
