'Let me play or let me go'

Kwanda Mngonyama is tired of getting loaned out by Mamelodi Sundowns and is ready to leave the club if he is not in coach Pitso Mosimane's plans. Mngonyama, 21, believes he is good enough to replace former Sundowns captain Alje Schut at the heart of defence after impressing on loan at Maritzburg United last season and Bidvest Wits one before that.However, Mosimane has indicated that the big defender is unlikely to get regular game time, with Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thabo Nthethe, Mario Booysen and possibly Tefu Mashamaite all competing for the same position."I can [replace Schut]," Mngonyama said. "[But] if Sundowns are not happy with me, then they should just let me go. I just want to play. I want a permanent place because I have to live my life."If the chance does not come at Sundowns, I am ready for anything as long as I have a club. I do not want to get loaned out," said Mngonyama, who has had very little rest in the off season playing for both Bafana Bafana and the national Under-23 team.He played 29 matches during his debut season at Bidvest Wits in 2013-2014. Last season he won Player of the Year at Maritzburg."It was good to play at Wits. Gavin [Hunt] believed in me. He told me to enjoy my football. I wanted to stay at Wits, but it didn't happen. It was an honour for me to play with coach Steve [Komphela] at Maritzburg. He believes in youngsters too."He was in the Under-23 team that drew 1-1 with Zimbabwe in an Olympic qualifier yesterday...
