Water-polo team stun Argentina at world champs

The South African men's water-polo side won their opening Group C preliminary round match 10-6 against Argentina at the Fina World Championships in Kazan, Russia, yesterday. Interestingly, South Africa is the only amateur side competing in Kazan.It was the Le Roux brothers - Pierre and Etienne - who stole the show, scoring three goals each. Jon Marc de Carvalho, Nick Hock, Ignardus Badenhorst and Devon Card also scored.The side will face defending world champions Hungary tomorrow.But South Africa's open-water swimming star, Chad Ho, didn't have much reason to celebrate. After winning the 5km final at the weekend, he finished 19th in yesterday's 10km swim, while his countryman Danie Marais pulled out.American Jordan Wilimovsky won the men's 10km open-water gold - in a time of 1hr 49min 48.2sec...
